e-biking is an increasingly popular and fun way to explore further by bike. It only takes about 30 minutes for most people to cycle 10km on an e-bike. e-bikes allow riders of different speeds and fitness to easily ride together. Let the bike do the work and take the sting out of the hills!

Looking for inspiration? We have produced a selection of fun and enjoyable routes in The Trossachs which are particularly suited to an e-bike all starting from NCN 7 in the village centre of Drymen, Aberfoyle, Kinlochard, Callander and Strathyre. Many of them take in some great coffee and cafe stops along the way, as well as popular attractions.
A short e-bike friendly route on quiet roads, gravel trails and shared use paths from NCN7 to the National Park Visitor Centre at Balmaha. Stunning views over Loch Lomond with options to visit the National Park Visitor Centre, Tom Weir Statue and Oak Tree Inn, Balmaha.
From Drymen Square go past The Clachan and up Old Gartmore Road to Garadbhan car park. Turn left onto the gravel forest road (following the WHW) for around 3 km before dropping down to Milton of Buchanan to join the B837 for the last stretch to Balmaha.

A spectacular gravel trail to explore the historic Statute Labour Road and enjoy iconic views of sparkling lochs, wooded hills and rugged mountains, in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park.
Duchray Castle, short detour to Kinlochard, with village hall, tea room, hotel and leisure club. Aberfoyle has a good range of cafes and pubs.
The iconic Trossachs adventure for everyone; an on-road tour, with family and all ability options taking in some fabulous scenery.

A beautiful route mostly on cycle paths on NCN7 forest drive and minor roads. Highlights include, cycling along the wooded shoreline of Loch Venachar. Some hills, but you are rewarded with superb loch and mountain views.
