Walk Leaders are the most integral part of a health walk. Offering a friendly welcome at the start, and keeping walkers safe and happy during the walk, volunteers make our walks across the National Park fun, accessible, safe and supported.

2025 Annual Volunteers Away Day in Tyndrum!
Every year we get together our volunteers for an away day, a chance to thank them and to recognise all the support they give to our 300+ participants.
In August our volunteers got together at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) Hill and Mountain Research Centre for an interesting tour of the farm. A huge thank you to Dr John Holland who provided a great insight into the work carried out on the farm and whose knowledge of the local area, farming and biodiversity was amazing. Our volunteers then headed to The Tyndrum Inn, where we enjoyed lunch and some evaluation.
One volunteer shared their experience of the day with us:
“A great event. Very informative. Jaw dropping scenery. Good company and a very nice lunch.’
We ended the day with a beautiful walk along the cycle track and West Highland Way, taking in the beautiful, rugged views of the area.

We are always looking for new Walk Leaders to help lead our weekly health walks in the National Park in Callander, Balloch, Killin, Aberfoyle, Drymen and Arrochar offering free low level short walks in and around the town to encourage people to take gentle exercise and become healthier.
