Strength and balance sessions

We work in partnership with physiotherapists, care homes and day centers.   As well as our weekly health walks we also run strength and balance sessions in both Callander and Aberfoyle.  We encourage participants to attend a 10 minute walk after each session in order to build up to joining the regular 30 – 45 minute walk, and of course our regular walkers can also join in and keep their muscles strong and flexible!

Strength and balance exercises are perfect for anyone worried about slipping or falling.  The simple exercises include leg raises and ankle movements – and all our sessions are run by trained volunteers.  If you have a health condition check with your GP first.
